Poster Project
I wanted to do a poster about something I hold very dear to me. I have been having medical issues here and there, for the past few years. I have been losing large amounts of my hair. But my family and I always find time to donate our hair. Even though I'm losing mine I'll give as much as I can.
I drew my own image and then put it into illustrator. After that, i pen tooled every thing. I wanted a stylized background so I but a baby blue background and darker polka dots. Added some flares to not make it feel so bland. And lastly, I added the text.
Maybe just make the girl a little smaller so she isn’t touching or interfering with the font at the top. I personally think it would look better if she wasn’t winking, but had both eyes open. I like the design, the background, and all the colors being used. I think the stylized background fits with the whole theme very well.
ReplyDeleteWhat you had going on with your poster is very nice, but some of the colors seem a bit too vibrant and clash with one another and it kind of hurts my eyes after a while. Specifically the "Donate your hair today" text
ReplyDeleteThe overall concept is great. I love the drawn look and the background is nice. I would only change the outline on the letters. It makes the words harder to read and its not really necessary.
ReplyDeleteThis poster is great. I love the cartoon feeling to it, it sort of makes me think of old time propaganda posters (the good kind). I do have an issue with how squished the text looks, it has a very packed in look from being so close to edges of the piece and to the girl's head. Maybe move the drawing down a little to give it some room too, it just meshes too much into the text's space and vise-versa. Other than those, great job. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great poster! I love the fact you drew it yourself and it has special meaning to you. The only things I would change is the color of the text to meshes and its hard to look at. Also maybe have both her eyes open just to see what it would look like. Other than that great poster.
