  1. WOW! This one is really cool! Nice set focal point and a really good color scheme. I also like that Harley has a rocket launcher. If I were to make any changes it would probably be to put some green into it, because most jokers have a element of green somewhere in the costume. I would also make her look a little more sinister as opposed to a playful, non threatening person, and I would make her fingers also, that could be where you incorporate the green. It looks very new school which I absolutely adore as well! I would definitely buy this and hang it on my wall! Great job Maya!

  2. Great poster. I like the use of having Harley as your focal point and your art style for her. The only thing I would add is some of Joker's signature colors, maybe in the border instead of having it red and blue.

  3. nicely done! i know right away that you made this from scratch, and it looks pretty good! i didn't know at first that that was harley quinn. sorry, i don't follow batman all that much and it's been a while since i saw something batman-related.

    great job nonetheless though.

  4. I think it would be helpful to have a little description about your decision making for this piece-I am guessing this is your take on an election poster, with the spin of a parody, I am assuming Mr. J is a fictional character. (LATER-reading students comments above clued me in, but I think a description is necessary). I think you did a great job tracing the figure-she appears pretty detailed and accurate, although there could be more detailing or articulation in the weapon and in the hands. You could also give her a location in space by having her seated on something, which could add to your parody, and also make the negative space more active and interesting. The red and blue rectangles which encompass the white really make this seem US and political. I think it’s interesting that such a subtle movement did that. The typeface you chose for the upper text is strong and contributes to that official, governmental style. The lower text, while I appreciate the angle and how it disrupts the composition in a dynamic way, I think could be more developed. Instead of using a standard font you could trace a more splattered text by searching the internet-something more graffiti-like and a little messier.

  5. Great job on the character! Would like to have seen something to cement her into the scene. At the moment she just sort of floats. Not anything to complex, just a little background. I can't decide if I'd want you mess with the text or if I feel like it works as is.

  6. I have no idea what it's about because no context was given. I like the Uncle Sam style with an anime twist. The red spray paint text at the bottom fits nicely. Liking the border. Wish I knew what I was looking at though.

  8. I really like the way this is made. The animation on the tracing, colors, and shadowing look great, and I love how it resembles the Joker in a Uncle Sam Politician kind of way. Even the text "Or Else" looks great and goes with it. If there is one criticism to say here, maybe to put more things in the white background, like comic book style. Other than that, this is funny and very well done.
